Shooting in Scene Mode
Shooting Suited for the Scene
B Notes on Portrait/Night Portrait Scene Mode
• The flash mode in Night portrait scene mode is fixed to fill flash with slow sync and red-eye
reduction.
• Macro mode (A 35) is not available.
• Digital zoom is not available.
C Using the Smile Timer
The smile timer (A 33) can be activated in Portrait or Night portrait scene mode. However, the
smile indicator is not displayed in Night portrait scene mode.
Portrait One-Touch Zoom
When a face is recognized in Portrait or Night
portrait scene mode, simply tap l to change
the zoom position for the portrait subject whose
face is framed by the double border as follows:
• The zoom position can be further adjusted by tapping e or f after it has been
changed using the portrait one-touch zoom function.
• Zoom positions available vary with shooting distance.
• Portrait one-touch zoom is not available when the camera selects Portrait or
Night portrait in Scene auto selector scene mode (A 43).
