Shot Conﬁ rmation

If On is selected for this option, the self-timer

lamp will light after shooting to conﬁ rm that the

shutter has been released. When Multi-shot 16

is selected for Continuous, the lamp will light

after all pictures in the series have been taken.

The lamp will not light at a setting of Ultra HS or

if the ﬂ ash ﬁ red when the picture was taken.

info.txt

When pictures are recorded with On selected

for info.txt, information about each image is

added to an independent text ﬁ le (“info.txt”)

stored in the same folder as the picture. When

the contents of the memory card are viewed on a

computer, this ﬁ le can be read with a text brows-

er such as Notepad or SimpleText. If Off (the

default option) is selected, photo information

will no longer be recorded to the info.txt ﬁ le. Information about pictures

recorded when Off is selected can still be viewed in the photo information

display ( 76).

When On is selected, the following information is recorded:

• Metering method

• Exposure mode

• Shutter speed

• Aperture

• Exposure compensation

• Focal length and digital zoom fac-

tor

• Image adjustment

• Sensitivity (ISO equivalency)

• White balance

• Image sharpening

• Date of recording

• Image size and quality

• Saturation control

• Active focus area

Images are listed in the order recorded, separated by a blank line.

Nikon View

The info.txt ﬁ le can not be transferred to a computer using Nikon View.
