F PANORAMA ASSIST
Use when taking a series of pictures that
will later be joined to form a single
scene (for example, a panorama or 360°
virtual-reality image).
See page 43 for more information on how to take pictures with this function.
Flash, Self-timer, Focus, and Exposure modes are fixed at settings for the first shot
in a series. Zoom is also fixed at the adjustment for the first shot in a series.

G NIGHT LANDSCAPE
A slow shutter speed is used to produce stunning night land-
scapes.
For EFFECT 1, nightscape is captured more vividly. Use of a tri-
pod is recommended.
For EFFECT 2, point sources of light radiate out and causes the
nightscape to stand out. Use of a tripod is recommended.
Focus is fixed at infinity. Focus indicator lights whenever shutter-release button is
pressed halfway.
Noise reduction turns on automatically at slow shutter speeds. It takes more time
than usual to store the picture.
AF-assist illuminator does not light even if for a dark subject.

Vividly captures the brightness of such subjects as snowfields,
beaches, or sunlit expanses of water.
