• If no operation is performed for
about two seconds, the selected
mode is automatically set.
Sensitivity (ISO Equivalency)
When lighting is poor and the flash is off ( ), the
camera will automatically increase sensitivity, permit-
ting faster exposures and minimizing blur caused by
camera shake. An ISO icon will appear in the moni-
tor to warn that the picture may be slightly mottled.
The (camera shake) icon
When lighting is poor and the flash is off ( ), shut-
ter speeds will slow and pictures may be blurred.
If the shutter speed is very slow, a (camera shake)
icon will appear in the monitor. Use of a tripod or
support is recommended.
Flash range:
Approx. 0.3* - 5.0 m/1 - 16.4 ft. (at wide zoom position)
Approx. 0.3* - 3.7 m/1 - 12.1 ft. (at tele zoom position)
*Approx. 0.15 m/0.5 ft. at middle zoom position in macro close-up mode
